Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, or by otherwise using the Barbix mobile app or this website (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
About Barbix
Barbix is a software platform that helps barbershops manage their appointments, working hours, and customers, and lets customers book appointments with those shops.
Barbix is not a barbershop. We don’t employ or supervise barbers and we don’t provide haircuts or grooming services. Every appointment is an arrangement between you and the barbershop — Barbix only provides the tools to make and manage it.
Accounts and eligibility
- You sign in with a phone number you control, confirmed with a one-time code. There are no passwords.
- Give us accurate information, including your real name, and keep your device secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- If you’re under 18, you may use the Service only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- One person per account. Don’t impersonate anyone or use a phone number that isn’t yours.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone has gained access to your account.
Booking as a customer
- You join a barbershop by scanning its QR code or entering its join code. Once you’ve joined, that shop can see your name, phone number, and appointment history with it.
- Available times are set by the shop and its barbers. An appointment is confirmed once it appears in your appointments in the app. We may limit how many upcoming appointments you can hold at once.
- Each shop sets its own cancellation window and how far ahead you can book. Inside the cancellation window the app may not let you cancel or change an appointment — please contact the shop directly.
- If you switch to a different shop in the app, your upcoming appointments at your previous shop are cancelled.
- Please arrive on time. Shops may apply their own rules for late arrivals and no-shows, and Barbix isn’t responsible for those decisions.
Barbershops and subscriptions
- Setup. Barbershop accounts are created by Barbix on a shop’s behalf, in agreement with the owner. A new shop may begin with a free trial for a period we choose.
- Fees. Any subscription fees are agreed separately and paid outside the app. We may activate, suspend, or end a shop’s access when a trial ends, a fee is unpaid, or these Terms are breached. While a shop isn’t active, its management features are unavailable and customers may be unable to book; already-scheduled appointments remain visible.
- Owner responsibilities. Keep your services, prices, and hours accurate; honour the appointments you accept; make sure the barbers you add know and agree to use Barbix; and comply with the laws that apply to your business, including licensing, consumer protection, and privacy.
- Customer information. Use the customer details you see in Barbix only to run your shop and serve those customers — not for unrelated marketing or to pass on to others.
- Barbers. Barbers join a shop by invitation, and the shop controls their access. If a barber leaves or is removed, their upcoming appointments at that shop are cancelled and the affected customers are notified.
Payments
Barbix doesn’t process payments between customers and barbershops. Prices shown in the app are set by each shop and are for information only. You pay the shop directly, and any payment dispute is between you and the shop.
Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- make bookings you don’t intend to keep, or repeatedly book and then fail to attend;
- harass, threaten, or abuse customers, barbers, shop owners, or our team;
- upload unlawful, offensive, or misleading content;
- attempt to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or probe, disrupt, or bypass the Service’s security;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or resell the Service; or
- use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
Content you provide
You keep ownership of what you provide — such as your name, appointment notes, and, for shops, photos and service details. You give Barbix a limited licence to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing a shop’s photos to its customers).
You confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
Notifications and messages
By using the Service, you agree to receive service messages: one-time verification codes (sent by a messaging provider, for example through WhatsApp or SMS) and notifications about your appointments. Your carrier’s message and data rates may apply.
You can switch off push notifications in your device settings, though some messages, such as verification codes, are necessary to use the Service. We won’t send you marketing messages without your consent.
Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties — such as hosting, messaging, and the Apple App Store and Google Play. Their terms apply to your use of their services, and we aren’t responsible for their availability or conduct. Apple and Google aren’t responsible for the Service or for providing support for it.
Intellectual property
The Barbix name, logo, app, website, and software belong to Barbix or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app as intended. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of it except as the law allows.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
We don’t control, and don’t guarantee, the quality, safety, or timing of any barbershop’s services. Appointment availability depends on information provided by shops.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barbix isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data; for missed or cancelled appointments; or for the acts or omissions of shops, barbers, or customers.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid Barbix for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can’t be excluded by law — for example for fraud or wilful misconduct — or limits any mandatory consumer rights you have.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by contacting us.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if we need to protect the Service or other users, if the law requires it, or — for shops — when a trial or subscription ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limits on liability, will continue to apply.
Changes to the Service or Terms
We may improve, change, or discontinue parts of the Service. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app or on this website. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have to bring a claim elsewhere.
